The Bramblewood Wastewater Treatment Plant
WWTP is
over 30 years old and has long passed its useful life. In an
effort by the Clermont County Water and Sewer District to
promote of the public health and welfare for Bramblewood and
other communities, they will pump wastewater, rather than
treat it locally here in Bramblewood, via a
forced 6 inch main to the Miamiville Wards Comer WWTP.
The line will not travel on Bramblewood
property. Instead, the county has purchased right-of-way
from the zoo and the line will completely reside on zoo
property as it travels from the existing WWTP to and beyond Price Road. The existing plant
will be dismantled after the line is complete.
Construction is expected to begin in the fall
of 2008 and last until the fall of 2009. From time to time
you can expect to see heavy equipment traveling through
Bramblewood to and from the existing WWTP.
Yes, some residents will experience daytime
construction noise.
This is a significant improvement to
Bramblewood at considerable expense to the county. The new
line will eliminate any residual background sounds and odors
originating form the plant in addition to providing a modern
and more efficient approach to wastewater treatment.
